Fargo man sentenced to jail for bank robbery at gunpoint
Denver Lee Tergerson, 25, of 1717 40th St. S. Fargo has been sentenced for felony theft of a motor vehicle exceeding $2,500.
According to court records:
On Dec. 18, he was caught in the Detroit Lakes Wal-Mart parking lot after allegedly robbing a bank at gunpoint in Fargo.
He allegedly stole a gray Chevrolet Cavalier from the parking lot of a Fargo Wal-Mart and drove it to Detroit Lakes. He had $2,970 in cash on him when he was arrested without incident.
He pleaded guilty in Becker County District Court April 9 and appeared Monday before District Judge Peter Irvine. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, execution of sentence stayed 10 years.
He was ordered to serve 180 days in jail, pay a $50 fine and court fees, and pay $344 in restitution. He was ordered to get an evaluation for compulsive gambling.
