Fargo man who suffered severe head injury at WE Fest identified
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - A 37-year-old Fargo man who was at WE Fest is recovering from a severe head injury after he tripped and struck his head about 9 p.m. Saturday, the Becker County Sheriff's Office said.
Mark Richard Schreiner left the music area, began running down an asphalt roadway and attempted to hurdle a parked ATV and small trailer, the Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office identified the man this morning.
Schreiner apparently tripped on the trailer's tongue assembly. Due to his speed from running down the hill, he struck his head on a parked bus, authorities said.
Schreiner was stabilized at Detroit Lakes Innovis before he was transported to Fargo's Innovis Health. His family has requested that the hospital not release information about his condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
A previous news release said the incident was non-traffic, non-violent and non-work-related.
