Fargo woman gets jail for possession of drugs
Erin Deann Stearns, 29, of 1436 15th St. S., Fargo has been sentenced in Becker County District Court on two felony counts of fifth-degree controlled substance crime, possession.
According to court records, on Nov. 29 about 6:40 p.m. a trooper patrolling Highway 10 near Lake Park clocked her driving 80 mph in a 65 mph zone.
After he pulled her over he allegedly found an ecstasy pill and small amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana in her vehicle and on her person.
She appeared May 20 before District Judge Joe Evans, who sentenced her to five years on supervised probation. She must serve 15 days in jail (with credit for three days served) and 15 days on electronic home monitoring. She was fined $1,000 plus court fees, and must get a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations.
