Farm Rescue to receive $200,000 from Bremer Bank

Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides planting and harvesting assistance free of charge to farm families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, will receive two-year funding of $150,000 from the Otto Bremer Foundation and $50,000 from Bremer Bank. The $200,000 will be used for equipment, training, and general operations.

“We are very thankful that the Otto Bremer Foundation and Bremer Bank have been strong supporters of Farm Rescue since our inception in 2006,” said Bill Gross, Farm Rescue President and Founder.

“The Otto Bremer Foundation and Bremer Bank have a solid history of assisting in the betterment of communities and continues to show an unwavering commitment in helping people achieve full economic, civic, and social participation.”

“Keeping family farms intact benefits not only the families involved, but the economies and overall health of the rural communities that depend on family farms for their well-being,” said Charlotte Johnson, a Foundation trustee.

Farm Rescue was founded in 2006 and has helped more than 200 families since its inception. The organization’s mission is to help farmers who have experienced a major illness, injury, or natural disaster by providing the necessary equipment and manpower to plant or harvest their crop. Farm Rescue helps farm families in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, and Iowa.
