Faye J. Erickson, 72, of Audubon, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at her home.
Friends may call from 5 t 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3 at David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes and at the church one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 in First Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes, with Reverend David Peterson officiating. Interment will be in the Hawley Cemetery, Hawley.
Faye Janice Erickson was born to Arthur and Alice (Cederberg) Anderson on October 10, 1938 in Hawley. She was raised and educated in Hitterdal. Faye was united in marriage to Forrest Erickson, January 10, 1957 in Lake Park. They farmed in rural Ulen and then moved to rural Audubon, where they owned and operated the Lake Center Store, 1961-71. They farmed in rural Audubon and Faye did babysitting. She also worked for many years as a nurse's aide for St. Mary's Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.
Faye enjoyed time with her grandchildren, going for walks, gardening, cooking and baking.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Forrest of Audubon; a son, Roger of rural Ogema; a daughter, Renee Kluenenberg of Detroit Lakes, two grandchildren, Alyssa and Derek; three brothers, Floyd (Mary Lou) Anderson of Hitterdal, Nile (Raynelle) Anderson of Hawley and Rick (Paula) Anderson of West Fargo; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Anderson of Ulen.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, DuWayne.
