FCCLA members collecting 'Treats for Troops'

Do you know a military person who is serving overseas? The answer to that question for many of us is "yes."

It is the exact reason that junior and senior high FCCLA members have been inspired to send "treats to the troops" as a part of an annual FCCLA project.

Dylan Larson and Alex Tangen, two FCCLA seniors, attended basic military training last summer and wanted to extend their involvement by doing a FCCLA project called Treats for Troops.

Junior high members helping to collaborate on the organization of the project include Adam Wolfswinkel, Ethan Cossette and Casey Mann. On Halloween evening, several FCCLA members will be collecting Treats for the Troops in the Lake Park-Audubon community.

When you hear Treats for Troops and see their red badges, know that all the treats you donate will be sent to military personnel serving abroad. If you have extra Halloween treats that you would like to donate, please contact the LPA FCCLA advisor Cheryl Hogie at the LPA High School.
