Fire leads to meth lab discover in Hubbard County
A 40-year-old rural Walker woman faces drug charges in Hubbard County after a fire led authorities to discover the makings of a drug lab in her home.
Hubbard County deputies were dispatched to Greer's home the night of June 4 on a report of a fire.
After it was extinguished, authorities found what they believed to be components of a methamphetamine lab. They also found a substance they believed to be meth located in a microwave oven, according to a statement released by the Hubbard County Sheriff's Department.
Officers returned later with a search warrant and a number of items were seized.
Rebecca Lee Greer was arrested and later appeared in Hubbard County District Court on charges of first-degree controlled substance crime and possessing methamphetamine, according to court records.
Bail was set at $200,000 or $150,000 with conditions, the Sheriff's Department said.
Greer remained in the Hubbard County Jail Tuesday.
