First Security hires Boeke as assistant VP
First Security Bank in Detroit Lakes has added a new assistant vice president to its team.
Matt Boeke took the position there in late June, also acting as the Ag and Commercial lender.
Boeke, an Owatonna, Minn. native, moved to Detroit Lakes in 2003, when he worked at Young Life Castaway Club on Pelican Lake for six years.
He then took a job at Wells Fargo doing personal banking.
Boeke most recently did commercial and ag lending at Community Development Bank in Ogema, where he worked for two years before taking the position at First Security.
"I love it, it's a great opportunity for me," said Boeke, "I sure enjoy the company, the employees here and getting to meet the customers in the bank."
Boeke, who enjoys hunting and spending time with his family, lives in Detroit Lakes with his wife, Amy, who is a kindergarten teacher at Rossman Elementary, and his two children, Mya and Jay.
