Florence A. Dombeck, 91, of Detroit Lakes, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee.
Florence, the daughter of Lawrence and Katie (Mader) Boedigheimer, was born on December 3, 1922 in Freeport, Minn. She was raised and educated in Perham. She was united in marriage to Victor Dombeck on February 9, 1940 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in rural Perham. They farmed in the Corliss Township for 35-plus years.
After Victor passed away in 1986, Florence remained on the farm until 1995, when she moved to Detroit Lakes.
Florence enjoyed playing bingo, cards, dancing, crocheting and watching wrestling (the WWE). She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving Florence are her son, Cyril Dombeck of Norman, Ark.; two daughters, Jane (Freeman) Wuollet of Detroit Lakes and Dolores "Dee" Klobe of Detroit Lakes; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Olsen of Warroad and Mary Ann Paavola of Perham; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Florence in death were her parents; daughter, Debra Dombeck; and four brothers, Gordon, Thomas Carl and Lee Boedigheimer.
The family of Florence would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley as well as the Frazee Care Center for their outstanding care.
A memorial mass is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Detroit Lakes.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, with a 6:15 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. prayer service, at West-Kjos Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Perham.
