Floyd Shores family fishing contest is Sunday
Floyd Shores is sponsoring a family fishing contest on Big Floyd, Middle Floyd and Little Floyd lakes Sunday, June 29. This is a free event for Floyd Shores Lake Association members and their families.
The event will be held rain or shine.
Fishing may start at 12 a.m., and fish will be weighed between 3 and 4 p.m. at Pete Mathison’s house, 20340 County Road 131 on the southeast side of Big Floyd Lake.
There will be four age divisions: 7 and younger, 8-11, 12-15 and 16 and older. There will be three fish categories as well: panfish (crappie, sunfish and rock bass), walleyes and bass, and Northern pike. There will be first, second and third prizes for each category.
Awards will be presented after the weigh-in, and a participation prize will be given to all participants.
