Football: Bombers start season with win
A fourth-quarter touchdown by Waubun’s Kyle Erickson was the tipping point in the Bombers’ 21-14 season-opening home win over Clearbrook-Gonvick last Thursday.
The Bombers exchanged touchdowns with the Bears, but notched the final and decisive one in the final quarter.
Waubun quarterback Jordan Spaeth scored twice on rushes of one and nine yards, while Clearbrook-Gonvick QB Trevor Rogstad also scored two rushing scores.

But the Bears also had two lost fumbles and two interceptions, to stifle four drives.
