Former Frazee, Perham teen dies in rollover
A former Frazee and Perham resident died in a rollover accident in Pennington County Sunday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Michael D. Holmer, 17, of Thief River Falls was driving a Toyota half-ton pickup south on Highway 59, about a quarter mile south of Thief River Falls, the State Patrol said.
The truck went off the road and onto the west shoulder. Holmer overcorrected and the truck went partly into the east ditch and hit an approach that caused it to roll over. The truck came to rest on the driver's side in a driveway.
Holmer was not using a seat belt and was ejected from the truck, the State Patrol said. No alcohol was detected in his system.
Roads were wet at the time of the crash, the State Patrol said.
