Former Roseau County commissioner sentenced for tax crimes
The Minnesota Department of Revenue announced today that Orris Rasmussen, a former Roseau County commissioner, was recently convicted in Roseau County court for failing to file his income taxes.
In 2009, Rasmussen, a Roseau County Commissioner at the time, was charged with five felonies for failing to file income taxes.
Rasmussen was sentenced to $32,000 in restitution and two years supervised probation.
