Former UND student pleads guilty to luring minors
GRAND FORKS - A former UND student, who faces three counts of luring a minor over the Internet, pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Chris Humphrey, who now attends the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, was arrested in March 2008 after he allegedly discussed and depicted sexual acts over the Internet several times with a Grand Forks police officer posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Humphrey's attorney, Steven Light, said a doctor from Boston will evaluate Humphrey and also will testify at the sentencing hearing.
Humphrey, 22, has been ordered to abstain from alcohol and non-prescribed drugs, to have no contact with children and not to use UND Web sites.
Sentencing was scheduled for May 27.
