Four injured in crash near New York Mills on Saturday

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle broadside collision on Highway 10 near New York Mills Saturday morning.

According to the State Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 106 when a southbound 2010 Toyota Camry on Highway 106 pulled in front of an eastbound 2004 Pontiac Vibe on Highway 10.

Three people in the Camry, all from Aurora, Colo., suffered what the State Patrol calls non-life-threatening injuries.

They are: The driver, Ruth E. Wagner, 44; and passengers Caitlin N. Wagner, 15, and Jacob T. Wagener, 12.

The driver of the Vibe, Virginia M. Wilken, 56, of Miltona, Minn., also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Camry was traveling south in the crossover turning east onto Highway 10. The Vibe was eastbound on Highway 10, and struck the passenger side of the Camry.

The crash occurred on dry four-lane blacktop about 9:15 a.m. Saturday. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
