Franken releases book featuring hotdish recipes

U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) released a book featuring the recipes of the third annual Hotdish Off. You can download a PDF of the book at http://www.franken.senate.gov/files/documents/130410Hotdish_Book.pdf.

“It’s a great day when the Minnesota delegation is able to put our differences aside and focus on what really matters — hotdish,” said Sen. Franken. “This recipe book will provide Minnesota families with easy access to all of this year’s delicious hotdish entries.”

Sen. Franken started the friendly Hotdish Off in 2011 as a way to bring the delegation together and celebrate a Minnesota culinary tradition. This year, after a blind taste testing of each member’s hotdish, former Congressmen Vin Weber (R-Minn.) and Gerry Sikorski (D-Minn.) named Rep. Tim Walz’s (D-Minn.) Hermann the German Hotdish the winner.
