Ashley Bachmann knocked down three 3-pointers early in the game for Frazee (11-11, 4-5 HOL) as Barnesville (8-13, 2-8 HOL) struggled to find the Lady Hornets shooters.

Although the Lady Hornets cooled from the field after the hot start, the Lady Trojans were unable to cut into the lead as Frazee played solid defense from start to finish.

"This was a solid team effort tonight as everyone who played contributed to the win," head coach Dave Conzemius said.

"We did a nice job of contesting their shooters and making them earn their points."

Frazee also defeated Barnesville earlier in the season, 71-55.

Alexis Tappe led the way for the Lady Hornets with 14 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.

McKinzie Tangen and Bachmann each had 11 points, Katie McCorquodale had nine points, and Taylor Tappe chipped in with eight points.

Frazee has now won four of its last five games as the Lady Hornets head into the final stretch of their regular season.

"We have been playing very well as of late and we will need to continue to play well as our schedule is very tough here at the end of the season," Conzemius said.

Frazee will host Perham on Thursday night and will travel to Hawley to face the conference leader on Tuesday night.
