Frazee girls’ golf in Sub-Section

The Frazee Lady Hornet golf team competed at the Sub-Section golf meet on Wednesday at Wildflower golf course.

Frazee, which moved from Class 1A to 2A this past season, had two individuals qualify for the Section golf meet with Alexis Parson and Brittany Lormis both advancing.

Parsons had a consistent day which saw her fire a round of 98, while Lormis recorded a 102, which tied her for the last qualifying spot for Sections.

Lormis survived a one-hole playoff with a player from Fergus Falls to punch her ticket to the Section meet on Monday at Longbow.

Other individual scores for the Lady Hornets included a 107 from Becky Karasch, a 118 from Maddisan Parsons, and a 144 from Cara Roers.

Overall the Lady Hornets finished in fifth place with a 425, while Detroit Lakes won with an impressive score of 284.

“This was a great day for our team and we are very proud of Alexis and Brittany,” Frazee head coach Dave Conzemius said. “They both had their best 18 hole rounds of the season and they did it when it mattered the most.”
