Frazee gymnasts finish with bronze in Morris Invite Saturday
The Frazee gymnastics team had a solid showing in the Morris Invite Saturday, finishing .95 of a point out of second place with a team score of 112.3.
The Hornets had four varsity gymnasts competing, as Jessica Irish led the way with an all-around score of 29.85.
The vault was the team's strongest event, with Tiffany Haugen and Emma Buhr netting a 7.95 each.
"Emma scored with her on-off handspring, while we are now focusing on her head position to aid in her leg position," said Frazee head coach Amie Erickson.
The Hornets also improved on bars, with Irish finishing with a 7.45.
"They all have gotten much stronger (on bars)," Erickson said. "Montana Osterman competed on varsity bars, as she is the only JV gymnast with a bar routine."
Frazee will re-start its season by resuming its schedule in January.
"We are looking forward to the holiday break to work on several items," Erickson said. "Thankful the girls are in good shape and (have) no injuries."
