Frazee man accused of felony solicitation of a child
Troy Ray Gibson, 41, of 515 E. Main St., Lot 9, Frazee has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony solicitation of a child to engage in sexual conduct.
Gibson was the manager of Feldt's Trailer Court in Frazee when a 13-year-old girl moved there with her family at the end of September.
According to court records: Gibson allegedly talked to the girl on numerous occasions about sex, once offering to fix her family's furnace if she would have sex with him, another time inviting her to come over to his garage to "get drunk."
The incidents were eventually reported to law enforcement, and in a taped phone conversation, Gibson allegedly told the girl that they could "hook up" and have sex if she wanted to. He allegedly knew she was only 13, and told her they'd have to keep any sexual activity secret because "I can get in serious trouble."
Gibson has five assault, burglary and drug convictions from 1995 to 2003.
He appeared Monday before District Judge Peter Irvine, who set cash bail at $5,000 or bond at $50,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. His next court appearance is Feb. 23.
