Frazee man charged with burglary
A Frazee man has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony charges including first degree burglary, second degree assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of terroristic threats.
William Edward Thompson, 27, of 300 S. Lake St., Frazee, is accused of breaking into a Lake Street residence on June 3, carrying a bat and what appeared to be a pistol. The pistol was later identified as a BB gun.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman said she was at home with two other people when the defendant allegedly came to the front door, struck it with a bat and entered, swinging the bat and yelling, “Where is he.” He allegedly continued to issue threats and showed the woman the pistol that was secured in the waistband of his pants, saying he would “kick his ass.”
Eventually, one of the men in the residence with her was able to chase Thompson away.
Thompson has been released on $10,000 bail pending his next court appearance.
