Frazee man critically injured in car accident
A Frazee man was injured in a sideswipe accident Monday evening on Highway 10 near Wadena.
Merle R. Meyer, 71, of Frazee was listed in critical condition by the State Patrol. He was transported to Tri County Hospital in Wadena and then airlifted to Innovis Hospital in Fargo.
He was westbound on Highway 10 in a 1997 Oldsmobile and was passing another vehicle. The Oldsmobile struck and sideswiped a semi and a car, which were eastbound.
The driver of the 1998 International 9000 semi-tractor trailer rig was Jonathan J. Papenfuss, 28, of Perham.
The driver of the 1998 Dodge Intrepid was Isaiah D. Bauck, 19, of New York Mills.
Meyer was the only person injured in the accident, which was reported at about 8 p.m. on dry two-lane blacktop near Wadena.
The Wadena Police Department and Wadena County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
