Frazee student art work on display
Frazee Spring Arts Festival will be held on April 15 from 7-9 p.m. in the Frazee High School in the Green Gym.
The Arts Festival will include visual arts, vocal and instrumental performances. The visual art works are created by students from K-12th grade. The work will be displayed in gallery style around the outer walls starting at the entrance starting with kindergarten and moving in order of grade through Junior High school.
This gallery display shows the ongoing progression of curriculum and development of skills and styles. The floor space is organized into 3-D artwork/sculptures and grouped 2-D/3D artworks by individual HS artists. These displays assist in showing the depth within various artistic medium and styles.
The visual art mediums represented in the show include drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, glass mosaics (group and individual), sculpture, photography and computer generated art.
Music performances include fifth grade through senior high students, who will perform individual and group vocal/instrumental pieces throughout the evening of April 15. A display board will be available to let those in attendance know approximately what time that person or group will be performing.
There is no admission charge, but a donation of a non-perishable food item, which will be given to the local Becker County Food Pantry, is suggested. Ceramic bowls will be for sale as part of The Empty Bowl Project, with the proceeds also going to the Food Pantry.
Frazee Spring Arts Festival: K-12 Visual Art Displays can also be seen at Frazee High School Green gym from 8:30 a.m. to noon on April 16.
