Frazee woman goes to prison after police find meth in car
A Frazee woman was sentenced to 24 months in prison on a felony drug charge.
Sherry Ann Bunnis, 46, of 15082 400th Ave., Frazee, was also sentenced to 365 days in jail on a related gross misdemeanor charge of driving after license cancellation. The sentences will be served concurrently. In addition, Bunnis was ordered to pay $140 in court fines and fees.
The charges stemmed from a Sept. 2, 2008 incident in which Bunnis, whose license had previously been cancelled, was observed by officers behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling on Highway 10. When she was pulled over and arrested, an inventory search of the vehicle revealed a Ziploc bag containing a white powder substance that later tested positive as methamphetamine.
