The brunch benefits the Lake Park Audubon Scholarship fund and other Lions Club service projects benefiting both locally and  internationally.

After helping cook in the kitchen and serve attendees, Rep. Green and Mayor Aaron Lee Wittnebel will engage in a legislative town hall meeting while residents enjoy brunch and learn more about the legislative session and what impacts it has on this area.

The event is open to the public, and it is a free will offering for brunch which includes French toast, sausage, eggs, orange juice, milk, and coffee. The Lions will continue to serve brunch until all the food is gone.

Coffee service will still be provided for the town hall portion starting around 10:30 a.m., if they run out of food.

“We are grateful to have State Rep. Green volunteering to help raise money for a great cause in our community, and we look forward to a successful event,” stated Lions president Anita Pietila.

“Rep. Green has always been a doer when it comes to helping with charitable causes, that is one common bond between us,” said Wittnebel.

“Although I enjoyed joining him for the Robotics Team Dunk Tank at the Becker County Fair, this will be a little dryer venue and certainly warmer during this cold winter. I look forward to talking with him about Capital Investment, Legacy Funds, the Minimum Wage, and enhanced Local Government rule-making authority that are all up for discussion in the 2014 Legislative Session.”
