Around dusk on the Fourth of July, the fireworks begin to fly, as the Detroit Lakes business community pools its money to celebrate the country’s independence holiday with brilliant color.

Standing with tradition, the fireworks show will be held down by the city beach, over Little Detroit Lake.

Streets will be closed down for pedestrian traffic.

If weather cooperates, the show is expected to draw thousands of people to the beach area.
