FX reportedly orders TV adaptation of 'Fargo'
Fargo might be the new destination for cable television, doncha know.
Several entertainment websites reported this morning that the cable network FX has reached a deal to develop an hour-long show based on "Fargo," the 1996 Oscar-nominated dark comedy.
Minnesota natives Joel and Ethan Coen, who directed the film, will also be executive producers of the new show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
"Fargo," the film, followed a pregnant Minnesota police chief (Frances McDormand) investigating two criminals (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) hired by a car salesman (William H. Macy) to kill his wife.
Tuesday's reports included no information as to whether "Fargo," the series, will follow a similar plot or include any of the same cast.
