Get 'Googled' at the DL Library

We're all trying to keep up to the fast pace world of technology. Your library is here to help you with that by inviting you to take advantage of our free computer classes.

On Friday, January 28, join us for "Google for Beginners" from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and learn what "Googling" is all about!

The second book about Google, highlighted below, is an eAudiobook that can be downloaded from NetLibrary (to your computer, iPod or MP3 player), which can be accessed by clicking on the 'NetLibrary' button at www.larl.org.

If you need help setting up a NetLibrary account, the staff at Detroit Lakes Library is happy to help!

Googled: the End of the World as We Know It, by Ken Auletta. Just 11 years old, Google has profoundly transformed the way we live and work...we've all been "Googled." Auletta's unmatched analysis, vivid details, and rich anecdotes illuminate how the Google wave grew, how it threatens to drown media institutions, and where it's taking us next.

Google Speaks: Secrets of the World's Greatest Billionaire Entrepreneurs, Sergey Brin & Larry Page, by Janet Lowe. What started out as a university research project conducted by Sergey Brin and Larry Page has ended up revolutionizing the world in which we live.

Google Speaks puts these incredible entrepreneurs in perspective and shows you how their drive and determination have allowed them to create one of today's most powerful companies.
