Grand slam dooms Angels to first loss of season
A grand slam in the bottom of the third inning by Pelican Rapids paced them to a 15-5 victory over visiting Detroit Lakes Sunday in a Countryside vs. Hi-10 showdown.
In the bottom of the third inning, the Lakers scored six runs to erase a 4-1 deficit, with the big blow being a grand slam homer by Ryan Boyer.
The Angels scored in the top of the first as Chris Gilson started the game with a walk and later scored on a two-out single by Doug Dickey.
