Grandma's Marathon registration ends June 1
Registration for the 34th running of Grandma's Marathon will remain open through Tuesday, June 1.
The nation's 13th largest marathon has more than 7,100 in the field for the June 19 event.
Runners can sign up for the annual Two Harbors-to-Duluth race by visiting the website, GrandmasMarathon.com.
The 2010 entry fee is $85.
Last year's champions, Chris Raabe and Mary Akor, both are expected to return to defend their titles from a year ago.
Also, there are still more than 500 volunteer positions remaining for the June 17-19 Grandma's Marathon weekend.
Volunteer positions include areas such as traffic and spectator control, water station assistance, medical services, racecourse entertainment, race packet pick-up and finish area activities.
Grandma's Marathon weekend also features the 20th annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and the 17th annual William A. Irvin 5K.
The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is Saturday, June 19 at 6:30 a.m. and the William A. Irvin 5K is Friday, June 18 at 6 p.m.
