Bud Grant, Ron Schara and leaders and other leaders representing "Sportsman Vote Yes" will discuss why Minnesota voters should pass the amendment, which appears on the November election ballot.

"Sportsmen Vote Yes" is a coalition of nearly 50 hunting and angling organizations statewide supporting the amendment.

If passed, the amendment would increase the sales tax and use rate by three-eighths of 1 percent on taxable sales from July 2009 until 2034.

The generated revenue from the tax increase would be used to protect natural resources such as drinking water, wetlands, prairies, forests and fish and game and wildlife habitats. The funding would also help preserve arts and cultural heritage and support parks and trails.
