Grants available for health care students
A project has been developed to help individuals be successful in heath care careers at MState in Fergus Falls.
Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc. in partnership with MState, Adult Basic Education, Area Health Education Center and West Central Initiative received an award of $95,000 under the Minnesota FastTRAC Initiative.
This FastTRAC grant allows students an opportunity to build basic skills, have access to additional tutoring built into the class structure and support services.
The grant pays for the services and students currently enrolled in the program have given it their enthusiastic stamp of approval. For more information about how to get enrolled, interested students may call Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc., and ask for Cary at 800-710-6923.
The award was one of 17 made totaling nearly $1.7 million by the Greater Twin Cities United Way, Minnesota Department of Education - Adult Basic Education, Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, Minnesota Department of Human Services, and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for adult career pathways projects in the state.
