Great American Think-Off submissions due April 1
The deadline to submit essays for the 21st annual Great American Think-Off is fast approaching.
This year’s question — “Which is more ethical: sticking to your principles or being willing to compromise?” — asks each of us how we can address important questions that require a combination of nuanced argument with conviction grounded in ethical belief.
Submit your entries online at www.think-off.org, drop a paper copy in the mail or bring it into the Center at 24 Main Ave. N., New York Mills. All essays must be submitted no later than Monday, April 1.
The top four finalists will win a $500 prize and have a chance to participate in the 2013 Think-Off debate, which takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 inside the James W. Mann Performing Arts Center at the New York Mills School. Call 218-385-3339 for more information.
