Grieger receives 2014 MSC service award
Dr. Rachel Grieger received the 2014 Minnesota Service Cooperatives Outstanding Service Award for her 10 years of service on the Lakes Country Service Cooperative Board.
The award was presented at a ceremony during the annual state Service Cooperative Board Conference on July 10.
Through her tenure on the LCSC Board, Dr. Grieger was actively engaged in the growth of regional services to school districts, cities, counties and non-profits in the nine county area served by LCSC.
She was instrumental in the remodeling of LCSC’s building in Fergus Falls to become a central meeting facility for all members. Her leadership in policy has also helped to earn LCSC distinction as one of Minnesota’s Top 100 Workplaces.
She provided leadership leading to the growth of technology and financial services to LCSC members.
She served the board as an active member of the Audit, Policy and Personnel Committees and has been a member of the New York Mills School District since 1995.
Lakes Country Service Cooperative currently has an elected 11-member board with one superintendent from Region IV, Philip Jensen, from Hawley Public Schools serving as an ex-officio member.
