Hanson dominates Frazee meet
Class 1A's No. 1 ranked golfer, Frazee sophomore Beau Hanson shot a blistering nine hole score of 31 on Tuesday to lead the Hornet golf team to a second place finish at the Frazee Heart O'Lakes conference tournament at Frazee Golf Course.
Hanson's four-under par score secured him medalist honors by three shots.
Frazee also offered plenty of support to Hanson, as sophomore Zack Ziegler and junior Josh Kertscher each added a 38.
Junior Travis Gray followed with a 41, junior Trevor Stilke had a 44 and junior Sam Kellerhuis had a 57.
The solid performance by the team helped the Hornets claim second place with a team score of 148, behind Hawley, who scored a 139.
The high finish by Frazee is believed to be one of the best finishes in recent memory, and was by far the team's best effort of the season.
Frazee also had a solid showing last Friday at the Barnesville HOL Invite, claiming a fifth place finish behind Hanson's two-under par 34, which was good for second place.
Kertscher had a 39, Gray and Stilke each added a 47, 8th grader Jake Wheeler had a 49 and Kellerhuis had a 56.
