Civilian Conservation Corps movie
Tamarac Wildlife Refuge presents the movie The Civilian Conservation Corps at 2 p.m. Roosevelt's civilian conservation corps put more than three million young men in the nation's parks, forests, and farms. This film interweaves rich archival imagery with the personal accounts of CCC veterans to tell the story of the boldest New Deal experiments.
The Elbow/Tulaby Lakes Volunteer Fire Dept. will host their last pancake breakfast of the year from 8 a.m. ton noon in the Fire Hall, located on St. Hwy. 113 approximately 18 miles east of Waubun. Cost is $4 per adult, children 6 and under are $1.

A licensed teacher from the ECFE program will offer Storytime for preschoolers from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on the first and fourth Thursdays of each month, in the Vergas Community Center. Come and enjoy a story and an activity with your child. It is free of charge.
Preschool screening for 3-5 year olds for the Frazee-Vergas district is provided through Becker County Community Health Services. Call Annie at 218-847-5628 ext. 5419 to make an appointment. This one screening will provide your child the requirements for Early Childhood Screening. Minnesota law requires each child attend a health and developmental screening before kindergarten.
