Wildlife Excursion

Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts Wildlife Excursions every Thursday at 10 a.m. Explore the refuge with a knowledgeable guide. Search for wildlife and learn about the natural and cultural history of Tamarac. Meet at the Chippewa Picnic Area.

Parkinson's support group

Steak fry fundraiser

The First Zinger Squadron hosts a steak fry fundraiser from 5 p.m. until it's gone in the DL American Legion Post 15. Cost is $9.

Washington School breakfast

The annual Washington School Breakfast is at 9 a.m. in Union Central -- formerly part of Washington School. Use the main entrance on Lake Street. All former employees of Washington School are encourage to attend.

Overeaters Anonymous Detroit Lakes Serenity Group meets Tuesdays at noon in the second floor library of the First Lutheran Church.

Tuesdays in the Park

Habitat for Humanity provides a picnic in the DL City Park from 6 to 7 p.m. each Tuesday in July and August. Come and have hamburgers, brats and hotdogs along with beans, potato salad and beverage. Free will offering benefits Habitat for Humanity and the Holmes Community Theater. A concert follows at 7 p.m. featuring Hardwood Groove, a Bluegrass, jam, folk band in the Bandshell. Bring your lawn chairs for the concert.

DLHS Class of 1987

The DLHS Class of 1987 hosts its 25th class reunion Aug. 11 at Zorbaz beginning at 7 p.m. It's an informal night for classmates to reconnect. There will be free food as long as it lasts.
