Pancake breakfast

The Knights of Columbus sponsors a pancake/French toast and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Parish Center.

Adult Spanish Club

On the 5th of each month, join the adult Spanish Club at El Loro to practice your conversation skills. Drinks are at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner.

PEO Chapter DQ

P.E.O. Chapter DQ meets in the home of Maxine Nelson at 1 p.m. Assistant hostesses are Kay Nulph, Carolyn Armknecht and Margaret Gunderson. Janet Green is presenting a program about international foods.

Holiday card workshop

Overeaters Anonymous, Serenity Group

Overeaters Anonymous Detroit Lakes Serenity Group meets Tuesdays at noon in the second floor library of the First Lutheran Church.

High Mileage Fellowship

High Mileage Fellowship meets the first Tuesday of each month in Community Alliance Church, DL. There is a pot-blessing meal at noon, followed by a time of sharing birthdays and anniversaries, a Bible Nugget and special music. This is an inter-denominational fellowship for all those 55 and over.

The Mac-Naps distribution is from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Applications are available at St. Luke's Church; to qualify you must be at least 60 years of age and meet the USDA income guidelines.

Dulcimer jam

A dulcimer jam is at 6:30 p.m. at 207 Park St., Lincoln Park Apts.

PEO Chapter FG

P.E.O. Chapter FG meets at 7 p.m. in the home of Bette Gilbert, with Beve Melgaard and Mary Haney assisting. The program will be presented by Julie Aanenson. Dessert will be served.

Frazee blood screening

Essentia Health, Frazee-Vergas Schools Staff Wellness, Frazee Care Center and Frazee-Vergas Community Education offer a blood screening from 7 to 8:30 a.m. in the Frazee Care Center lobby. Faith and Freedom concert

The Refuge and United Team International host a Faith and Freedom concert featuring John Schlitt from Petra, with opening band Pure, at 7 p.m. in the Holmes Theatre. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults in advance and $10 at the door. Call 847-1982 for tickets.

Winter Vendor Blender,

Craft Show

The 2012 Winter Vendor Blender and Craft Show is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in Holiday Inn, DL. There will be over 35 vendors in attendance and will be giving away over $1,000 in door prizes. For more information, contact Michelle Beck at 841-7872.

Church bazaar

Grace Lutheran Church hosts is annual bazaar from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food, crafts, bake sale, Christmas decorations, quilt raffle and more. There will also be demonstrations of rosemaling, wood carving and lefsa making.


Roses for Rotary

The Breakfast Rotary Club has roses for sale. Cost is $20 for a dozen, and flowers can be picked up Nov. 1-3 at DL Floral and Gifts, Bergens and Heart O'Lakes Realty in Frazee.

Thanksgiving dinner

Everyone is invited to a free Thanksgiving service and dinner in the Detroit Lakes Middle School on Nov. 18. All food is provided by Community Alliance Church. The service is at 11 a.m., followed by the meal from noon to 12:45 p.m.
