Jose Cole Circus
The circus is coming to town, courtesy of the Detroit Lakes Knights of Columbus. The show starts at 7 p.m. inside Freeman Arena. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for children ages 3-12, and free for kids age 2 and younger; they will be available at the door starting at 6 p.m.

High Mileage Fellowship
High Mileage Fellowship meets the first Tuesday of each month in Community Alliance Church, DL. There is a pot-blessing meal at noon, followed by a time of sharing birthdays and anniversaries, a Bible Nugget and special music. This is an inter-denominational fellowship for all those 55 and over.
Lake Park TOPS Club

Concert band in LP-A
The Lake Agassiz Concert Band, a Fargo-Moorhead-based community band, presents a concert, along with the Lake Park Audubon High School Varsity Band, at 7:30 p.m. in the LP-A High School Theatre. It is free and open to the public.

A dulcimer jam is set for 6:30 p.m. in Lincoln Park, 207 Park Street, Detroit Lakes (use the Park Street entrance).
The April MAC/NAPS program distribution will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Applications are available at St. Luke’s; to qualify you must be at least 60 years of age and meet the USDA income guidelines.
Better Choices, Better Health
Sanford Health is offering a free Better Choices, Better Health Workshop from 6 to 8:30 p.m. inside the conference center at Minnesota State Community & Technical College-Detroit Lakes. These workshops, developed by Stanford University, are for anyone with ongoing health problems and their support people, to help them live fuller, healthier and more active lives. Robotics team spaghetti feed
The Frazee-Vergas Kaotic Robotics team will host a spaghetti feed and silent auction from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Frazee Event Center. The silent auction will feature approximately 100 items; admission to the spaghetti feed is by free will donation. All proceeds will be used to help the team attend the world robotics championship.
Adult Spanish Club
On the 5th of each month, join the adult Spanish Club at El Loro to practice your conversation skills. Drinks are at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7.

Flea market, craft fair

All-City Choir Concert
The All-City Choir Festival Grand Finale Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at Detroit Lakes High School. Guest conductor Michael Culloton of Moorhead will direct a choir of more than 500 DLHS students. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students in grades 6-12 and free for those in grade 5 and younger. Maple Syrup Fest
Vergas will host its annual Maple Syrup Fest pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Event Center, with live entertainment, maple syrup booths and more. The “Saps Running” 5k Walk/Run begins at 9 a.m. in front of Vergas hardware; participants can sign up beginning at 7:30 a.m. inside Billy’s Bar & Grill for $25, or register online in advance at www.cityofvergas.com for a $5 discount. The post-Easter egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. outside Vergas Assisted Living and St. John’s Church, and there will be a raffle drawing following the pancake feed inside the Event Center; the winner will get a metal wall hanging created by local artist Patrick Shannon. Weather permitting, local syrup producers will also offer sugar house tours throughout the day.

The Parish Guild of St. Theodore’s Church of Pine Point/Ponsford will host its annual Spring Meat Bingo event starting at 1:30 p.m. inside the Kateri Guild Hall north of Ponsford (at the corner of county roads 129 and 124). Twenty games will be played, with each winner receiving a prize of a ham, turkey, roast or comparable meat package. A free lunch will also be served at “half time,” and a variety of door prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon. Come join us for a fun-filled event.
‘Storyland’ exhibit opening
The grand opening of the traveling exhibit “Storyland: A Trip through Childhood Favorites” will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Becker County Historical Society Museum, 714 Summit Ave., Detroit Lakes.
