The June MAC-NAPS distribution is 3-5:30 p.m. in the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Applications are available at St. Luke’s Church. To qualify, you must be at least 60 years of age and meet the USDA income guidelines.

Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge hosts a Wildlife Excursion at 10 a.m. Wildlife Excursions are offered every Thursday at 10 a.m., June through August. Explore the refuge with a knowledgeable guide. Search for wildlife and learn about the cultural and natural history of Tamarac on this 2 hour driving tour. Meet at the Chippewa Picnic Area located on County Hwy 26, 3 miles east of the Visitor Center.

The Laker dance team hosts a fundraiser at 4 Seasons Car Wash from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts a family nature trek at 2 p.m. Join a Tamarac naturalist as we explore part of the North Country Trail. Discover the wonders of the woods from trees to flowers to the critters who call this place home. You never know what’s around the corner. Meet at the North County Trail access on the Blackbird Wildlife Drive for this mini-hike. The Blackbird Wildlife Drive is located on County Hwy 26, 2 miles east of the Visitor Center.
