Family Nature Trek
Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts a family nature trek at 2 p.m. Join a Tamarac naturalist as we explore part of the North Country Trail. Discover the wonders of the woods from trees to flowers to the critters who call this place home. You never know what’s around the corner. Meet at the North County Trail access on the Blackbird Wildlife Drive for this mini-hike. The Blackbird Wildlife Drive is located on County Hwy 26, 2 miles east of the Visitor Center.
Girl Scouts fundraiser
The Girl Scouts will host a hot dog stand at Central Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are raising money to take 10 Girl Scouts to San Francisco in August.

Pancake breakfast, Shaw benefit
The Ulen Lions Club hosts a free-will donation pancake breakfast to benefit Carl and Susan Shaw from 9.m. to noon in the Ulen Event Center. Donations will help offset medical costs from Susan’s cancer and Carl’s stroke. Donations also accepted at Bell State Bank and Trust in Hawley.

Dan Danielson, director of New Life Center in Fargo, and Rev. Tim Cook, Chaplain of St. Mary’s Hospital in DL, will be officiating at different times. Kathie Brekke and the apostles Blues Band will perform at the opening service.
