Tamarac History Tour
Tamarac Refuge hosts a history tour, celebrating 75 years, at 2 p.m. Join them for this car caravan tour and embark on a journey through the story of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. Discover the people and places that played a key role in refuge development from the 1930s and the Civilian Conservation Corps forward. Meet at the Chippewa Picnic Area.
Color Guard breakfast
Lake Region Veterans Color Guard fundraiser breakfast is from 8 a.m. to noon in the DL Legion Club. Suggested donation is $6.50.
The Bearclaw Muzzleloaders of Northern Minnesota annual Rendezvous is 9 a.m. to noon at the Height of Land Sportsmans Club, east of Detroit Lakes on Highway 34. Follow the signs. There will be a re-enactment of pre-1840 and competitions held throughout the day. The public is welcome.
Bazaar, bake sale
St. Mary of the Lakes bazaar and bake sale is from 7 a.m. to noon. There will be games, a bake sale, quilt raffle, card shop, silent auction and more.

Learn to fish for free
The DNR hosts MinnAqua’s Peers to Piers program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday on the Little Detroit Lake pier across from El Loro restaurant. The DNR provides all fishing equipment and bait for kids wanting to learn to fish. Kids fish for free up to age 16 with no license required.
