Hidden Talent Show
The Wayne Nelson Memorial Hidden Talent Show is at 7 p.m. at the Cormorant Community Center. Come for entertainment, fun and laughs. Ice cream will be served following the program. Tickets are $5.
Lakes Area Quilters
The Lakes Area Quilters holds their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in Emmanuel Nursing Home in the Aspen Room. All interested quilters are welcome to attend.
Tamarac Refuge hosts a Wildlife Excursion at 10 a.m. Explore the refuge with a knowledgeable guide. Search for wildlife and learn about the cultural and natural history of Tamarac. Meet at the Chippewa Picnic Area on Cty. Hwy. 26 just 3 miles east of the visitor center for this two hour driving tour.

LP Firemen’s dance
The Lake Park Firemen’s Street Dance is from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Lake Park fire bay. Music is by Boomtown.
The annual Height of Land Sportmen’s Club hosts a chili feed from 11 a.m. until it’s gone. It is a free will donation. There will also be door prizes and raffles.
Tamarac Refuge hosts a Tree Trek at 10 a.m. Discover the forest! During this hike, we will see how many of Tamarac’s 36 species of trees we can identify. We will also take a peek at their neighbors, the shrubs and forest floor plants. Hikers will receive a complete Tamarac tree checklist and a partial list of other plants likely to be encountered. Hand lenses will be provided for looking closely at some of the characteristics. Meet at the 400th Ave. Trailhead. Wear good hiking shoes, bring water and a snack (or lunch) for this two hour trek.

Lund Lutheran Church, Richwood Road, hosts fresh air Sunday with worship outside beginning at 9 a.m. Bring your lawn chair and sunscreen. Special music is by Bob Johnson and members of the Uffda Mountain Boys.
Shoreham Chapel hosts special music by Karen Gunderson out of Phoenix and her daughter, Joy, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The service follows at 10:45, with Pastor Tim Cook.

Learn to fish for free
The DNR hosts MinnAqua’s Peers to Piers program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday on the Little Detroit Lake pier across from El Loro restaurant. The DNR provides all fishing equipment and bait for kids wanting to learn to fish. Kids fish for free up to age 16 with no license required.
