The Detroit Lakes ULTRA Snowmobile Club meets at 7 p.m. in the Eagles Club in Detroit Lakes. The club encourages all area snowmobilers to attend and get involved to help support our local trail system. Chili will be served. All snowmobilers are invited to attend the meeting.
Alzheimer’s Support Group
Essentia Health hosts an Alzheimer’s Support Group the last Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. This month the meeting will be held today due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Meetings are held on the 2nd floor of Oak Crossing in the Cedar Ridge Living Room.
The Sons of Norway will be making lefse from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. until they are finished in Trinity Lutheran Church, DL. The lefse will then be for sale Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Washington Square Mall. Anyone is welcome to stop by the church and see how lefse is made.
Friday, Nov. 22
The Park Rapids Friendly Squares host a square dance in Park Rapids Century School. The caller will be Royce Nelson and Donna Stone will cue round dancing between tips. There will be “Plus” dancing from 7:30 to 8 and mainstream from 8 to 10. The club members will furnish potluck lunch after the dance. All Square dancers and spectators are welcome.
JFK assassination presentation
M State instructor Steve Carlson presents a second look at the JFK assassination and Warren Report from 6-10 p.m. in room c101 in M State. Cost is $5.

Grace Lutheran Church, DL, host Tickle your Taste Buds Fall festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be coffee and rolls in the morning, knoepfle soup and sandwiches in the afternoon. Jams, jelly, pickles, candy, doughnuts and much more will be for sale. There will also be demonstrations in wood carving, rosemaling and lefse making.
St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Park Rapids, hosts its fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be coffee and rolls, lunch, crafts, children’s dollar store, bake sale, door prizes and more.
Vergas hosts a Redneck Holidazzle celebration with a beer fun run at 2:45 p.m., parade at 4:30, chili cook-off and meat raffles at 5 and Mr. Redneck pageant at 7. Activities take place in the Vergas Event Center.

The Callaway Lions host turkey bingo at 7 p.m. in the Callaway Community Center.
A benefit for Sean and Amy Degerstrom, who lost their baby boy, Benton, after 25 days, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lake Park-Audubon High School. There will be a lunch, silent auction, bake sale and inflatable obstacle course. Donations can also be made at Bremer Bank.

The Detroit Lakes Area Adaptive Hockey is a new team that spends time on the ice working towards being a part of Minnesota Special Hockey, and is open to any age and ability. This one screening will provide your child the requirements for Early Childhood Screening. Minnesota law requires each child attend a health and developmental screening before kindergarten.
