Native American education meeting
A public meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Board Room at the Detroit Lakes School District Administration Center, regarding the District #22 Title VII program, review the current District #22 Title VII program services, and make ongoing recommendations pertaining to the unique academic needs of Native American students in the Detroit Lakes Public Schools. BC Emergency meeting
Becker County Emergency Management hosts a mitigation-planning event at 10 a.m. in the third floor meeting room of the old section of the court house. The event will include an overview of the mitigation planning process; specifically, addressing issues of hazard profiling, disaster modeling, and a question and answer period will be offered. The Cancer Support Group is for patients, survivors, family, friends and caregivers. February’s speaker is Tracy Roforth, occupational therapist. The support group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Travis Leitheiser benefit
A spaghetti dinner benefit for Travis Leitheiser, who was injured in a car accident in September, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Speak Easy, Detroit Lakes. There will also be a silent auction. Funds raised will help defray medical bills.
Wolfe, Riehle fundraiser
A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to support Zach Wolfe and Dylan Riehle’s summer trip to Europe is from 4-7 p.m. in Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Callaway. Adults are $8, kids 6-12 are $5 and children under 6 are free.
The Catholic Daughters of Holy Rosary Church meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish living room area. The guest speaker will be a representative of The Refuge.

Kidsfirst Preschool registration

The Detroit Lakes Area Adaptive Hockey is a new team that spends time on the ice working towards being a part of Minnesota Special Hockey, and is open to any age and ability.
