The Callaway Lions host a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Callaway Community Center.
The Marshmallow Foundation hosts its annual Hairball fundraiser from 4 to 8 pm. in Zorbaz. There will be silent and live auctions, a meat raffle, attendance prizes and more. Tamarac Refuge re-opening
Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge celebrates its grand re-opening with Going Green for Wildlife from noon to 4 p.m. Going Solar is at 2, presented by Jason Edens, Rural Renewable Energy Alliance & MN Renewable Energy Society; building tours: Learn how we are drawing energy from the earth and the sun. Music scholarship concert
The Detroit Lakes Music Department showcases local talent in order to raise funds for a college music scholarship. The concert is at 7 p.m. in the DL Middle School Auditorium. Groups scheduled to perform are Doc & the Scrubs, Laker Singers & the Laker Jazz Band. Tickets are $5 per adult, $3 for children in grades 6-12, free for children grade 5 or younger or a family pack for $20 and can be purchased at the door. All proceeds go to a scholarship recipient(s).
PEO Chapter DQ
Chapter DQ, P.E.O. meets at 1 p.m. in the Congregational Church. Georgia Hecock is the hostess, with Kay Nulph, Joan Carr and Ruth Solie serving as co-hostesses. There will be installation of officers, and Ruth Solie will present the program, “Public Literary Art.”

DL Breakfast Rotary annual Swedish Meatball Dinner is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the M State cafeteria. Minimum donation is $6 for adults and $3 for children. To go meals are available. All proceeds go to the Becker County Food Pantry.
Sons of Norway
Vikingland Lodge No. 495, Detroit Lakes, meeting with a chili dump supper beings at 6 p.m. in Union Central. Everyone is to bring a small container of chili which will be dumped together into a roaster. The program is talented musicians Hank Reitan, Patty Ballard and John Martinson. They will be playing a variety of Scandinavian music and old time music. The public is welcome to come enjoy the evening with us.
