Parkinson’s Support Group meets at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, DL. Jane Leno, occupational therapist from Sanford Clinic, will speak on the BIG Program.

Talk of the Town
Eric Bergeson, owner of Bergeson Nursery in Fertile, and a weekly columnist for several newspapers, will be our first speaker at our “Talk of the Town” series this summer. It is at 9 a.m. in the Cormorant Community Center. Come and enjoy this free event. Coffee and cookies will be served.
Park Rapids Friendly Squares host a square dance in Century School, Park Rapids. Abe Maier will be calling from 7:30-8 for Plus and 8-10 for Mainstream. Arbor Day planting
The City of Detroit Lakes celebrates Arbor Day with Mayor Matt Brenk giving a short presentation at 9:30 a.m. near the theater entrance to the DL Community Center and will recognize the City of Detroit Lakes for receiving the Tree City USA award for the 26th consecutive year. Smoky the Bear will be on hand to help. The public is invited to attend. Local students will help plant two trees.
The Ladies Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Detroit Lakes Zone hosts their Spring Rally from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Vergas. Theme of the day is “God Alone is Our Rock.”

Meatball, gravy dinner
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Evergreen, hosts a meatball and gravy supper and bake sale from 4:30 to 7 p.m. It will be a free will offering, and everyone is welcome.
Spring Interlude Olympics
The 13th annual Spring Interlude Olympics, a fundraiser for Holy Rosary music and arts programs, begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Holmes Ballroom, DLCCC. There will be a dinner, auctions, raffles and dance. Tickets are $60 and are available at Holy Rosary, by calling 847-5306 or online at holyrosaryschool.catholicweb.com.
The 1st Zinger Squadron hosts a steak fry fundraiser beginning at 5 p.m. until gone in the DL American Legion Club. Cost is $10.

Fish dinner, rummage sale
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Audubon, hosts its annual Fish Dinner from 4–7 p.m. It is a freewill offering. There will also be a rummage sale that day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Community Alliance Church hosts a spring luncheon. All women are welcome. There will be antiques, music and fun for everyone. Call 847-2266 for tickets.
French toast brunch
The Lake Park Lions French toast brunch is from 7:30 to 11:30 pm. in the Lake Park Community Center. It is a free will offering.
Families are invited to attend a free bike rodeo beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Kent Freeman Arena, hosted by the Detroit Lakes Active Living Committee. New bikes and bike helmets will be given away.
High school biz plan contest
MState hosts a High School Business Plan Contest from noon to 4:30 p.m. in room C101. The public is invited to come and hear area high school students present their business plans, than stay for the awards ceremony that follows. If you plan on attending, please contact Nicole Ballard at 846-3733.
