North Country Trail hike
North Country Trail Spring Series Hike No. 1 begins at 2 p.m. Hikers are to meet where the trail crosses Hwy 91, 15 miles north of Dorsett. The trailhead can also be reached from the north by taking Hwy 91 south from Hwy 200/71. Hike to Nelson Lake, around the lake and around Lake 21, 7 miles.
PEO Chapter DQ

A foreign exchange student from Croatia will sing and tell about his country. There will also be special Norwegian goodies to taste like Rommegrot, fruit soup, fattimann, krumkake, sandbakkels, kransekake (wreath cake) and almond cake. Public is invited.

North Country Trail Spring Series Hike No. 2 begins at 9 a.m. at the trail head on Hwy 4, two miles south of Lake George. The hike progresses west to Spider Lake Forest Road, a distance of 7.8 miles.

ELCA Women’s Retreat
The ELCA Women’s Bible Retreat for Clusters 5, 6 and 7 will be held at the Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes on June 2. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the retreat beginning at 9. The theme “Let There Be Peace” will feature Pastor Jillene Gallatin from Trinity Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes as the Bible Study leader. Lake Park-Audubon Community Ed offers Summer Day Camp with crafts, play outside or in the gym, go swimming, take field trips, and have special guests. Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre Play
Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre is back this year to help put on “Peter Pan.” Youth ages 7-18 are invited to join Lake Park-Audubon Community Ed this summer for a trip to Neverland with a twist. Practice is Aug. 18-23, and auditions take place on the first day and everyone gets a part. Participants should bring a water bottle and snack each day to practice.
