North Country Trail hike
North Country Trail resort hike meets at 10 a.m. at the NCT kosk, HWY 4 & Halvrerson Trail, 2.5 miles south of Lake George. A 2.5-mile hike within Hubbard County land passes through mixed forest and enters a magnificent spruce and balsam forest as it winds down into the historic Schoolcraft river valley. The valley features a massive wetland teaming with wildlife.
Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts Wildlife Excursions every Thursday at 10 a.m. Explore the refuge with a knowledgeable guide. Search for wildlife and learn about the natural and cultural history of Tamarac. Meet at the Chippewa Picnic Area.

Hidden talent show
The Wayne Nelson Memorial Hidden Talent Show is at 7 p.m. in the Cormorant Community Center. Come and enjoy an evening of entertainment, fun and laughs. Ice cream will be served following the program. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at The Cormo

Friday, July 20
Talk of the Town
Talk of the Town begins at 9 a.m. in the Cormorant Community Center. The program is Judge Richard Goldberg, U.S. Court of International Trade. The event is free, and coffee and cookies will be available.
Party in the Park
Essentia Health Oak Crossing Family Council hosts the 20th annual Party in the Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Parish Center. There will be a picnic for $6 per person, plus a quilt raffle, music entertainment and more.
Saturday, July 21
The Twisted Stitchers are working outside from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Pioneer Park on the west side of Main Ave across from Monika's. Bring your own lawn chair. An old time variety dance is from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Frazee White Pine Room. Music is by Jerry's Dance Band.
Lake Park Garden Club
The Lake Park Garden Club meets at 4:30 p.m. at the Bud and Kit Davis home for a potluck picnic. Bring your spouse and a dish to share.
Sunday, July 22
Ordination of Pastor
Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Frazee celebrates the 25th Ordination of Pastor William Aufdenkamp at noon with a meal and reception. It is a free will offering.
The Shoreham Chapel, Lake Melissa, service is at 10:45 a.m., followed by coffee and fellowship. Special music is by Shelly Gompf and daughters, vocalists. Everyone is welcome.
Leave it to Beavers
Tamarac Wildlife Refuge hosts Leave it to Beavers! At 2 p.m. Discover the amazing adaptations this creature has acquired over thousands of years of evolution. Learn how this large rodent played a role in Minnesota history. Visit a large beaver dam and lodge.

Musical theater camp
