Helen G. Videen, 93, of St. Cloud, Minn., passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the St. Benedict's Senior Care Center.
Helen was born to Andrew and Anne Oline (Holte) Knutson on May 9, 1916 in Ulen, Minn. She grew up in Twin Valley, Minn., and she married Otis Videen on Nov. 26, 1938 in Detroit Lakes. The couple lived in Cloquet and Roseville before moving to St. Cloud in 1994. Helen was a homemaker, excellent cook, quilter, knitter and devoted wife and mother. Helen worked as a sewing instructor for the Sears Department Store for over 10 years.
Surviving Helen are her children, Mary Ann Trout of Hanover, Ind., Robert (Marsha) Videen of Plymouth, Minn., Tom (Susan) Videen of St Louis, Mo., and Karen (Ron) Larson of St. Cloud; her brothers and sister, Harry Knutson of Rockville, Md., Lloyd (Eileen) Knutson of Lake Geneva, Wis., and Elsie Knutson of Twin Valley; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; three great grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.
Preceding Helen in death were her husband, Otis (Dec. 30, 2000); and her sisters, Agnes Mahlstrom, Mabel Hart and Aloise Cielinski.
The family would like to thank St. Benedict's Senior Center for their years of loving care.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25 at the St. Benedict's Senior Center Chapel; there will be visitation for one hour prior to the start of services. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
